Four Characteristics That Spell S-U-C-C-E-S-S
Individuals who succeed in their
profession and, overall, in life
itself typically demonstrate at
least these four characteristics: 1) They possess a daring outlook. Successful people take chances, even when it's easier to be content with the status quo. They're constantly in search of new challenges, viewing them as sources of ongoing growth and development. 2) They take pride in being quick on their feet. Showing the ability to think quickly and to be flexible in rapidly changing workplace situations often leads to promotions and increased responsibility. 3) They strive to be experts. Successful people never conclude that their learning days are over. Instead, they invest their time and resources in conferences and seminars to augment their knowledge. They also read voraciously on subjects specifically related to their profession. 4) They forge lasting ties. At their place of work and in their community, these people develop and nurture enduring alliances and friendships. "Solo acts" are rarely viewed as truly successful individuals. |
